Product Reviews

Izziwotnot’s Bailey Sleigh cot-bed isn't cheap but it's elegant and well-constructed. It's easy to put together, though it will require two people, and it looks great in any nursery. Our panel loved the dark wood and the dowel sides, and it's robust enough to be used until your baby turns toddler. It also conforms to British safety standards. The depth is not enough that your child will be able to get out, and the distance between slats should not exceed 65mm. This should stop their heads from becoming stuck. It is important to remember that you'll need to buy a mattress separately, which is an extra PS88.

The sleigh design of this crib is stunning and makes it stand out from the rest. It's also easy to get your baby in and out, which is another big plus. It is a bit more expensive than other cot-beds, but our panel thought it was worth it for its appearance and durability.

bed cot wooden  is available in either country pine or walnut finishes. It is suitable from the time of birth. It has three useful mattress heights so you can start your baby by putting the base up so that they can easily access it throughout the day and at later lower it as they increase in height. It also has added teething rails to protect your child's gums as well as their precious furniture. Once your baby is out of the cot bed, it is able to be easily transformed into a junior bed and then it can be converted into a sofa.

Silver Cross' westport design is a different cot that has a solid feel and is built to last. It can be used as a cot from birth, then later as a toddler bed, and then into a junior bed (toddler guard rails are sold separately). Our panel found it difficult to change from cot to bed, but their other half said it was easy and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also a tad more expensive than other cots but it's the kind of design that you'd probably want to keep for your children as they grow.
